January Survey Total

February 1st, 2008 at 01:20 pm

Quick recap - I'm a physician and get frequent invites to do online, telephone or in-person surveys.

For January 2008, I collected $670 in survey income. So I will certainly keep plugging along and doing these surveys. I earned about $5,400 in 2007 this way. At the rate I'm going, 2008 will hopefully be even better.

That is absolutely great! Are you earmarking the surveys for any one area? I have been keeping my own challenge account to see what I can personally do to save towards retirement. The money is also my husbands but it is for me to see what doing the extras can amount to, I also add survey money, coupon money, credit card rebates, and extra change to see what I have personally contributed.

I know that many will have different goals such as vacations, emergency fund contributions, retirement funds, etc.

I really don't earmark it for anything special. Part of the reason I got more serious about the surveys was DW went from a full-time job to a per diem/part time job so we earned about 15K less last year. The surveys help make up for some of that. We don't need her income for everyday stuff, but it really helped how much we were able to put into savings and helped with special things like vacations and such.
