Ebay Challenge Update 1/15 - GOAL!

Well that didn't take long. Last nite, I posted that my auctions this week were kind of disappointing. Today, I check my e-mail and find 2 books sold on half.com. The total for those is $15.43, bringing my total for January to $110.95. So that meets my $100/month goal for January.

    Congratulations Disney Steve. Your challenge was very motivating. We put up 2 items on sale at craigslist. One item that we have had around for a while and is just taking up room.

    Koppur, no, it isn't all profit. That is the gross sales amount. Listing fees, PayPal fees, postage, packing materials, etc will come off of that. Half.com stuff is basically all profit because they're all books I got for free (doing surveys). The ebay items are mixed. One was something I got free. The other was something I bought years ago to resell. I actually lost money on that item. My theory at this point, though, is that it isn't really a loss since the money was spent so long ago and the item has just been sitting in my basement all this time. I'd rather have $20 in my pocket than have a $40 item of no value to me taking up space.

    Good point. Money is lost as soon as we forget about things we have and stop using them. I'll catch up soon...ha! Great job. Smile
