Big happenings today. The cabinets were delivered bright and early at 7:30am.
By end of day, he had installed 3 upper cabinets (on the oven side of the room) and the 2 lower cabinets on that wall. It's really exciting to see it start materializing. You can look at renderings all day but until it's physically in front of you, you don't fully know how it will look.
He will install more on Monday and Tuesday I'm guessing. Then the electrician will come back to finish all of the wiring for the appliances. We need to set up delivery for the appliances. Once the cabinets and appliances are in they can do the template for the countertops. I don't know how easy scheduling all of that is going to be. Hopefully it will go smoothly and we won't have much down time.
Edited 6/28/25 to add that we scheduled delivery of the oven and microwave for next Saturday, 7/5. The dishwasher isn't in yet so that may or may not come at the same time. Fortunately, that's the least important appliance since it goes under the countertop and doesn't need to be there for them to create the countertop template. Still it would be nice if they could all come at once for ease of installation.
